Directions to
RARC Charles City County Site
The site is located is in Charles City County, at Rt. 106 and Weanack Haul Road. There is a direction sign to Shirley Plantation at that intersection.
The shortest route from Richmond to the property is as follows:
A. I 95 South to Exit 67.
Follow Pocahontas Parkway, Rt. 895, east to Rt. 5, which is the first exit. The bridge has a $1.75 toll.
Turn RIGHT on Rt. 5 and follow about 13 or 14 miles to Rt.106.
Turn RIGHT on Rt. 106 and go 0.8 mile to Weanack Haul Rd., a gravel road on the right. Turn right into Weanack Haul Road. Weanack Haul Rd. is the entry to Shirley Plantation off of Rt. 106.
After you pass the white fenced pastures, the property along the left side of Weanack Haul Rd. is our flying site.
B. If more convenient, you can follow I 64 East to I 295, and I 295 to Rt. 5.. This route also avoids the toll on the 895 bridge.
C.
Another route If you would like to avoid the $1.75 toll. Take I 95 south to Rt. 10 and go through Hopewell to Rt. 106. Turn left and come back across the James river. About ½ mile north of the river you will pass some white fencing around a pasture at a farm called. Cabaret-on-the-James. Turn left on Weanack Haul road at the end of the white fence.Detail in Charles City COUNTY
